Guangzhou Sailong Additive Manufacturing Co., Ltd., founded in 2018, is a national high-tech enterprise under Xi'an Sailong Metal Materials Co., Ltd which is controlled by Northwest Institute for Non-ferrous Metal Research. Core businesses focus on developing (1) Selective Electron Beam Melting (SEBM) technology and SEBM systems; (2) Plasma Rotating Electrode Process (PREP) technology and PREP systems; And (3) metal powders and powder metallurgy products. Sailong has annual capacity of producing 100 tons of metal powder, 20 SEBM and PREP systems, and more than 10, 000 metal AM parts.
The first launched self-designed SEBM systems in China, including S type system for R & D and the Y type system for manufacture of medical implants.
Successfully developed and provided high-performance PREP systems with maximum rotating speed of 20, 000 rpm.
Developed more than twenty compositions of high quality spherical metal powders for AM, such as TiAI and TiNbZr powders.
Designed and produced over 100 types of intricate metal parts using SEBM, more than 200 pieces of interbody fusion cages and arthroses have been successfully implanted in clinic.
Sailong has undertaken over twenty major national and regional scientific and technological research projects, and filed more than 30 patent applications in additive manufacturing (16 granted already), and initiated six national standards and occupation standards in metal AM and PM.
